Sweet Pea Easel Card

First off, I want to say thank you to Connie for the four Sweet Pea stamps that showed up the other day. I haven't had a chance to ink them up yet, but I'm really looking forward to it.

I do have a Sweet Pea card. This beautiful stamp was on sale a few weeks ago and I couldn't resist - mermaids and cupcakes! I colored her with Copics I tried blending from pink to purple on her wings, which gave an effect I really like.

I made an easel card with Basic Grey paper and used a Basic Grey rub on for the butterfly on the base.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. In a Sweet Pea Dream - warmer weather
2. Phindy's Place #43 - sketch
3. Stamp Scrap and Doodle - easel card
4. CES Challenge #25 - flowers and flutterbys
5. Crafts 4 Eternity #8 - easel card

TLL Challenge - 4Bs Mid Way Reminder

We're halfway through the 4Bs challenge - bunnies, buttons, bows, and bling at The Latte Lounge. You only need three of the four to enter the challenge! It's hard not to have bows, buttons, and bling on a papercraft project.

I have two more cards today featuring The Stamping Boutique's Bunny Egg. I love this cutie and she works in so many colors. I went with a simple layout for both so I could focus on the image.

There are lots of great challenges going on at The Latte Lounge. We hope you'll join us! Melissa has a sketch challenge - you could use the sketch to make your 4Bs card and get a double entry :) Stacie is challenging us to reuse our old store-bought cards to create something new in Hallmark Holiday. Rhonda's flower challenge is a lot of fun!

Tilda with a Balloon

I have a sweet Tilda to share with you today. Peanut picked her hair color and when I was done, said "that looks like me." I don't know about that, but she does love balloons. I colored the image with Copics. I added pink glitter around all the Basic Grey papers. I finished the card with a purple organza ribbon and a white Prima flower.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
2. Magnolia-licious Highlights Challenge - spring - I used spring colors.
3. Make it Colourful #8 - light source top left
4. Paper Cutz #80 - spring
5. Stamp Something - something with flowers

Thank yous and a Boy Card

I had this post put together a while ago and managed to forget to post it.

I had much good luck this week and I wanted to say Thank You! I won Jennifer's January blog candy and received this great Sweet Pea stamp in the mail. I won Jane's Whiff of Joy blog candy and I'm really looking forward to the spring release in the mail. Finally, I won Ramona's new digital scrapbooking kit. I can't wait to get scrapping! Thank you to all you wonderful ladies who take time to host these wonderful candies!

On a side note, I'm getting very close to 150 followers. When I make it to 150, I'll have to organize a blog candy of my own to say thank you! UPDATE - I've actually gone over 150 followers, so I'll have to see what I can do.

I have a card to share with you today as well. My mom got me several stamps as a late Christmas present. I needed some good boy stamps and I got Ian from The Greeting Farm. I used Basic Grey's Hopscotch paper pack - I love the colors! I colored the image with Copics. I kept the front fairly simple, but I thought the orange pom-pom ribbon worked really well.

Boy Card

I've been trying to make more boy cards. I find them really difficult. I do love this Greeting Farm Ian image. I decided to go for really simple colors. The middle of the card opens as well and you can see the sentiment inside.

I colored the image with Copics. I love coloring jeans. I find the blues just blend better than some of the other colors I try. I added a simple blue grosgrain ribbon and button to decorate the card.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Club Anya - mystery Monday
3. Paper Sundaes #57 - masculine card
4. Party Time Tuesday #4 - anything goes
5. Charisma Cardz #8 - black/white + 1 color - I chose blue

On a Chocolate Kick

It's been a while since I made it into the craft room. The whole family has been down with the crud. We went on a mini-vacation last weekend and I managed to pull my back. I'm so glad to be feeling better and crafting again! I have two cards to share today.

For my first card, I used this delightful Willow from Whiff of Joy that I won from the Creative Inspirations blog hop. Isn't she yummy? Peanut helped me pick her out. She's just so cozy. I colored her with Copics.

The papers are from Chatterbox Inc. I used cream Prima flowers. I used a Tim Holtz tiny staple to attach the ribbon tags. This was my first time with this tool - very fun!

I decorated the inside using some new rub-ons that my friend Melissa sent as part of The Latte Lounge Secret Sweeties. At first, I was intimidated by them and wasn't sure what to do. You'll see from my next card that I've fallen in love. They're so much fun and easy to add to a card.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Simon Says - chocolate and cream (and a DT call!)

My second card has a sweet Magnolia baby. Isn't she precious? I colored her with Copics and added glitter. I used digi papers from JLJ Designs. I love pink and brown together. I added pink glitter to the polka dots on the paper to make it more sparkly. The "Sweet" sentiment and swirls are a Basic Grey rub-on. I added flowers to make it 3D.

I decorated the inside of this card as well. You may recognize the "negative" of the scallop circle on my previous card. It just perfectly framed the sentiment. I used Basic Grey rub-ons for the butterflies.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
3. Do You Stack Up #8 - anything goes

TLL Challenge - 4Bs

My challenge at The Latte Lounge today is 4Bs - bunnies, buttons, bows, and bling. You have to use at least 3 of the 4 - you can do it! The prize for this challenge is two images from The Stamping Boutique.

My first card uses Bunny Egg from The Stamping Boutique and papers from Hoppy Spring Digi Paper Pack from JLJ Designs. You can see the bunny, buttons, and bow; the bling is glitter on her bow, which doesn't show up as well.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
2. Charisma Cardz #7 - spring has sprung

My second card usesSleeping Easter Bunny by JLJ Designs. I used sparkly flowers for my bling this time. I colored the image with Copics and used papers from the same digi paper pack.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Pink Gem #15 - buttons, brads, beads, or bows - I used buttons and bows.

We have several other great challenges going on at The Latte Lounge. For Hallmark Holiday, Stacie is challenging us to recycle our store-bought cards into something new and exciting. Rhonda wants us to use flowers, flowers, and more flowers. You still have a couple days to enter Melissa's chipboard challenge.

Love You

I've been home sick all day and have just emerged from a cold induced haze. I'm starting to feel better and decided to do some digital scrapbooking.

I made this layout using paper and elements from DeDe Smith's kits - Polka Dot Frenzy and Story of Our Lives. I love this picture of DH and Peanut - they're so happy.

I'd like to enter this layout in the following challenges:
1. DeDe's Saturday Show Offz - use only pink and brown - luckily these are some of my favorite colors.
2. Scrap It With a Song #43 - love will keep us together

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

You still have a week to join the You Inspire Me Challenge. You make a project and make someone else feel good by leaving them love about how they inspired you. I was inspired byJacabean's tutorial to make these gift card holders - and they were so easy! I used some felt sheets and leftover cardmaking embellishments.

I'd like to enter these gift card holders in Simon Says Anything But a Card Challenge.

Rhonda's challenge for Valentines with glitter and bling is open until Wednesday. We'recheerfully choosing challenges with Stacie - I think the current record is 56! Melissa has us reaching into our stashes to try using chipboard.

Peanut made Valentines to share with her ballet class. We used several different images from The Stamping Boutique, Fresh Brewed Designs, JLJ Designs, and the Help for Katie Collection. We printed them out on pink paper with a sentiment.

Peanut would like to enter the following challenges:
1. Kona Kids #17 - Valentines or hearts
2. Fussy and Fancy Friday - sweet treats
3. Delicious Doodles #12 - Valentine's Day

Sweet Valentine

I won the Blue Butterfly Sweet Love Collection from Bizzy Becs a few weeks ago, but I hadn't gotten a chance to play with them yet. Isn't she sweet?!

I colored the image using Copics. The brown paper is from Chatterbox. The red papers are from JLJ Designs (me) - I'm not sure what collection as I have a big stack of scraps on my desk :) I added some floral embellies. I picked up some floral sprays the other day, I love what these gems do for a card. I'll be using these more!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
2. Cupcake Inspirations #97 - I love the chocolate and red. I also liked the little white dots and incorporated that in my ribbon.
3. By the Cute and Girly - red is all around us
6. Craft Your Passion #44 - anything goes
7. Cupcake Craft #128 - seeing red
8. Papertake Weekly - have a heart

TLL You Inspire Me Challenge

My new challenge at The Latte Lounge is "You Inspire Me." We all follow blogs, see pictures in galleries, and DT submissions for challenges. Sometimes one of these cards or projects strikes a cord with you; sometimes everything you see from a designer inspires you to create. Your challenge is to make a card or project inspired by someone else. I encourage you to go back and leave some love for the person who has inspired you - believe me, it matters!

My card is inspired by Stacie, a.k.a. Hestia's Helper. Everytime I see one of her cards I wonder, how did she do that? Can I do it too? I was particularly inspired by this card to try such a fancy fold. This card is my attempt. I used I love you this much Cynthia from The Stamping Boutique. I used papers from my minikit (available for free this month - see link below). The sentiment is from Raindrop Echo.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Top Tip Tuesday #20 - anything girlie
2. Do It With Digis #3 - Valentines
4. Polkadoodles #5 - hearts
5. Stamp Something - Feb. digi day
6. Allsorts Challenge #89 - love, love, love
7. Sentimental Sundays #41 - Happy Valentine's Day

I made a second project to say thank you to the ladies of the
Healthy Lifestyle group on The Latte Lounge. They've inspired me to recommit to my healthy lifestyle this year. Thank you! The image is a freebie from Cardmaking and Papercraft.

There are several other challenges going on at The Latte Lounge. Stacie is encouraging us to choose our challenges cheerfully to get several entries for one card. Melissa has a teal, pink, and black color challenge. Rhonda wants us to make Valentines with glitter and bling. I think you could make a card for all four challenges - give it a try.

2. Just Magnolia #92 - special monthly challenge with ribbons
3. Make it Colourful #5 - blending blue and purple together
5. Stampin' for the Weekend #3 - St. Valentine's Day

Cheeky Cheery in Sepia

After stamping Santa Ian in brown ink on brown cardstock, I wanted to try it again. This time I used The Greeting Farm's Cheeky Cherry Pie. This time I colored the image with Copics. I love the way it came out. This may be a new favorite technique!

I added velvet ribbon and a ribbon slide, along with a butterfly and pearls to finish this card.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Club Anya - Saturday sketch
2. Make it Colourful #4 - color on anything but white cardstock

Anya in the Winter

This is the last of my notecard/notepad sets. As promised, I have a small picture of the inside. I got the notecards and notepads from Michael's. I use part of the packaging to hold the notecards in place - reduce, reuse recycle!

For this project, I used Xmas Sweeties Anya. I colored her with Copics and added much Stickles to the "furry" bits of her costume. I used papers from DCWV. The sentiment is a freebie from Cardmaking and Papercraft.

I'd like to enter this project in the following challenges:
1. Farm Fresh Friday - hats off to you
3. Bah! Humbug! #4 - oldie but goodie - I'm trying to use up last year's Christmas stash before we get to this year's Christmas!
4. CES Challenge #21 - bold and bright
